I recently picked up a beautiful mirrored dressing table from Very, it's a bit of a nightmare to keep clean (grubby fingers and all) but I have to admit that I love it. The best part is being able to see some of my favourite products and general bits and bobs taking pride of place.

I'm totally in love with the Topshop nail colour blue on blue it really is stunning. As always Sleek is doing it for me in the blusher department I've recently rediscovered the shade Pomegranate it's the perfect blush for my complexion. As I've recently had my hair braided I've switched up my hair care routine and have been loving this Cream Of Nature Argan Oil, it smells divine and has been doing wonders for the itchy scalp I've been suffering with recently. I'm a little boring when it comes to fragrances and tend to stick to a select few, the Eccentric Molecule, Molecule One is an absolute go to, I thinks I'd go as far as saying it's a holy grail product, high prise indeed!

DIY: How To Make A Delicate Ring

delicate ring, DIY, hot to make, gold, ring, jewellery, what renee made

I'm really into simple jewellery at the moment think less is more. I'd been eyeing up lots of delicate pieces on Pinteret, rings in particular and couldn't resist giving it a go myself. Not sure why but I'm really into gold jewellery at the moment so knew straight away that I had to do the project in gold. This little DIY has become a very welcome addition to my collecting I've worn it on multiple occasions since I made it. It's been great teaming it with my favourite house of Harlow bangle and Oasis watch. The beads add interest and dimension to the piece that really does smarten up a casual outfit.

As I'm sure you can tell I'm a huge fan of simple DIY's and this one is pretty straight forward (if I do say so myself). It took me minutes to put it together, although it was a little fiddly at times.

I would love to have your ideas on projects you'd like me to try out. Hit me up with your ideas in the comment section.

Did you see Angelina Jolie at the BAFTA's last week? She looked phenomenal, rocking the androgynous style. Since then it's got me thinking about Tuxedo Pants, I love the idea taking a traditionally  masculine piece and putting a feminine spin on it.

What do you think of my current Tuxedo Trouser inspirations, anything float your boat?

Preen have gone and made Darth Vader chic, who would have thought? I for one am drooling over the Vader shirts. Not sure my budget will stretch that far though. Special nod to the mix of gothic and bold prints, it shouldn't work but somehow it just is amazing.

Not to worry all the Tartan we bought this year can be dusted out for AW 14. As by looks of things it's going no where, both Westwood and Whistles have featured check in their collections. If if it's good enough for Vivienne Westwood it's good enough for me.

How stunning is the blue hue form Topshop Unique? I always get stuck in the back jacket rut, so I'm loving the idea of injecting a real splash of colour into my winter wardrobe with a touch cobalt blue!

Go bright, go bold, or go home. That is the message I'm getting form runway giants Burberry. This collection may have cemented my love for shearling jackets, I'm wondering if Christopher Kane has been catching up on only fools and horses like me?

Hair Care Routine For Braids

hair care, afro hair, braids, women of colour, dark skin,

If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen that I switched things up in the hair department recently. I decided to take the plunge and have my hair braided, in typical blogger style with every new hair 'do' comes a new hair care routine.

I'd been rocking the same hair style for ages, and to be honest I was pretty bored with my hair. I've also been toying with the idea of going natural; i.e. ditching the chemical relaxer. I'm not sure if I'm quite ready for the natural journey just yet but I thought I would give my hair a break from relaxing for a few months by having braids installed.

I've been rocking my new braids for a few weeks and have been loving it. The fact that I don't have to do my hair on a daily basis is not lost on me. I'm a lazy girl at heart so anything that gives me a few extra minutes sleep in the mornings, is in my good books.

Since having braids installed I've tweaked my usual hair care routine, being the helpful girl that I am I've only gone a filmed a video sharing my top products and tips to help you care for your braids.

Peter Pilotto For Target

fashion week, new York fashion week, MBFW, peter pilotto, target

Have you been following New York Fashion Week with a dose of I wish I was there? Well, I will freely admit that I have. My interest reached fever pitch when I spotted the Peter Pilotto for Target collection. For those of you who don't know Target is a well known US (high street) brand stocking everything from clothing & accessories to beauty and everything in between. I love it when high end designers collab with the high street (think HM). It's the perfect opportunity to nab high end pieces at a fraction of the price. Speaking of price, the price point on this collection is an absolute steal with items starting at £15, great for budget conscious girls.

The Peter Pilotto for Target collection is full of transitioning items. There are several cosy jumpers and sweaters to keep you warm and lots of skirts adorned with bold prints that will work well during the chilly season paired with your Primark super cosy's. Once the weather warms up ditch the tights in favour of some strapy heels.

The look book is a must, trust me it will have you drooling! But once you've picked your jaw up, head over to Net-A-Porter to scoop up your favourite looks from the collection. Personally I'm currently lusting after this floral print T and these geometric print canvas trainers. Net-A-Porter currently have limited stock but head over to Target.com for the full collection.

I've shared my top picks from the collection, what are yours?

How beautiful are these delicate rings? The bottom one is from Anthropoligie. They would look amazing worn stacked with other rings, in a mixture of textures and metals.

Valentine's Day Picks

what renee made, valentines day, what to get for valentines, valentine gift guide

Valentine's day hasn't always been my favourite celebration, but over the years I've come round to the cupid way a little more. I love giving gifts and (I'm not ashamed to admit) receiving them. With this in mind these are a few items I'm currently crushing.

Lingerie is always a way into any girls good books, how beautiful is this lacy Topshop set? The icing on the cake is that it's bang on trend with the pastel colours. I've recently picked up a new dressing table, this cute stag head jewellery holder would be a very welcome addition. I've had my eye on this Nars velvet matte lipstick for a while, what better way to accessorise my valentine's outfit then with a splash of red! Joe Malone fragrances are timeless wild fig and cassis is my all time favourite.

I've shared mine, now it's your turn what are your top picks for Valentine's day?

January Favourites 2014

january favourites, monthly favourites, favourites, what renee made
Well its that time again, monthly favourites time! As I write this I'm tucked up in bed with a nasty case of the dreaded sore throat and sniffles. My woes aside I put together my top picks for the month, it's a bit of a mixed bag (as usual) including an insane nail colour that's got me in a spin and breton stripes - everyone loves a bit of breton right?

Today's video is well worth a watch (if I do say so myself), but what I really want to know is what are your top picks for the month?

Bobble hats were once the style stamen of toddlers but their well and truly in the main stream, and I love it. There's nothing cosier than snuggling down into a warm hat on a chilly day - except sitting by a warm log fire perhaps, but I think you know what I mean.

So the big question is one pom pom or two?
